a stage has all levels in it

after we fell from the skies
into the wombs, nobody talked about
how laborious the bottom was.

after I step in
it’s all darkish,
one lamp remained on.
deserted.

individuals forgot learn how to be alone —
lights.

a stage has all levels in it

stains of Dionysus’ wine —
the empty area is holy
a black field awaiting a ritual
just like the burning bush that by no means decays.

fixed change. steps.

we’re all born misplaced
surrounded by issues with which means.
a screwdriver.
wooden.
machines.
gentle.

wanting some for ourselves.
possess.
obsess.
reliant on a construction we don’t match.

what’s the key, the password?
a knock on wooden?
a contemporary crucifix?
to steal our ideas
to sedate our fears
all comes into that black field.
the machine.
deus machina.

it’s solely after we lose ourselves
that we merge.
it’s solely after we shut our eyes
that we turn into free.
